(Jerusalem Post) Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev said Wednesday, in the aftermath of a terror attack targeting Israelis that killed at least seven people in the city of Burgas earlier in the day, that Bulgarian authorities met with members of the Mossad a month ago, but received no warning of an expected attack in the area, the Sofia News Agency reported.

Plevniev stated that Bulgarian authorities would have acted seriously if they had received advanced warning of an attack.

“The attack does not mean that Bulgaria is a risky destination for tourism,” the Sofia News Agency quoted Plevniev as saying.
