(THE LOCAL) — The rejection of Stephen Colbert's bid to tweet in the name of Sweden was due in part to the TV host’s “one-way” Twitter habits, according to Swedish officials, who added that new rules may yet open the account to non-Swedes.
In what many hailed as an unexpected and unusual move, Swedish officials told the US comedian that he could not take over the @sweden Twitter account on Wednesday after Colbert’s much publicized #ArtificialSwedener campaign.
