Thank you for commenting on WND.  We ask you to keep the following guidelines in mind.

  • It is our desire to keep the comments as family-friendly as possible.  The use of expletives, graphic language, or ethnic slurs will not be permitted.
  • Certain key words may automatically trigger a post into moderation. Moderation does not mean your post is being censored. The post is simply being checked for potentially unacceptable language and will be approved as soon as possible.
  •  ALL links (URLs) are automatically flagged for review to make sure they don’t lead to inappropriate (i.e. pornographic) websites.
  •  Any solitary links (with no accompanying or relevant commentary) will be deleted without review.
  •  Comments are sometimes automatically diverted to the “spam” file if you post multiple identical comments in any one article or across several articles.
  •  The longer your post, the longer it will take to review if sent to moderation.
  •  WND is a private website.  “Freedom of speech” does not mean you can use this platform to use foul language, threaten, bully, intimidate, name-call, or otherwise harass other people, including the moderators.
  •  If you see an inappropriate comment, please flag it.  A “flag” will appear when you hover your cursor along the bottom area of each comment, just to the right of the time (how long ago the comment was posted). Click the flag when it appears, and you will have the option to answer the question, “Flag this comment as inappropriate?” If you click “Yes, flag this comment as inappropriate,” a moderator will be notified that it needs further review. Unfortunately our filters cannot catch every offensive comment, so we appreciate our readers who flag these comments.  Please note, the flagging feature is for comments that are inappropriate, NOT for comments with which you disagree.
  •  Don’t yell at the moderators for doing their job.  Our moderators view thousands of posts daily, and they are required to comply with WND guidelines.  They are authorized to delete off-topic remarks, including criticism for their job performance.
