North Korea issued a strongly worded message against the United States, saying the regime was more than ready to unleash a nuclear attack if poked – the technology is all there.

Foreign Minister Lee Su-yong said in a statement reported by Breitbart that North Korea was only hesitant to unleash a nuke attack against America because of its own good graces, not because of technological inability.

“In response to the U.S. frenzied hysteria for unleashing a nuclear war, we have fully transferred our army from the form of military response to the form of delivering a preemptive strike and we state resolutely about the readiness to deliver a pre-emptive nuclear strike,” he said.

He also added North Korea “faces the dilemma – thermonuclear war or peace,” Breitbart reported.

North Korea has threatened similarly in recent weeks. Just a few days ago, the regime actually released a video, “Last Chance,” that included a portrayal of a nuclear attack on Washington, D.C. And in early March, the government-controlled media outlets in North Korea threatened to toss a hydrogen bomb onto Manhattan.

The rhetoric comes as President Obama is due to meet with South Korean President Park Geun-hye and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, a scheduled Washington, D.C., gathering that has raised the ire of Pyongyang.
