Once again, the leader of the Republican field for president is Donald Trump, poll numbers released Wednesday showed.
In Florida, Trump finds favor with 28 percent of Republican primary voters, a new Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll found. Former neurosurgeon Ben Carson comes in with 16 percent; Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 14 percent; and former Florida governor Jeb Bush, 12 percent. Bush is a former governor of the state and Rubio serves as one of its U.S. senators.
And in Ohio, it's Trump again who is tops, 23 percent to next-in-line Carson's 18 percent. Ohio's popular governor, John Kasich, doesn't even touch Trump's lead, coming in with 13 percent.
And in Pennsylvania – it's more Trump. The billionaire businessman leads the pack at 23 percent, with second-place Carson holding a 17 percent share. Rubio rounds out the third-place slot with 12 percent. Even Rick Santorum, a Pennsylvania home-towner, only nets 2 percent of the vote.
The significance of these poll findings are that no candidate, since 1960, has ever won the White House without also winning at least two of these three states.

"Those who were waiting for Donald Trump's campaign to collapse will need to wait longer, at least in the three key states of Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania," said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University poll, WSB Radio reported.
In hour-long interview with the Washington Post, Trump doubled down on his hope to return America to greatness.
"If you don’t win, what have I done? I've wasted time," he said. "I want to make America great again and you can’t do that if you come in a close second."
Trump also told the newspaper he's about to hit television screens with his first ad campaign. At the same time, he said his wife, Melania, and his daughter, Ivanka, are set to make public campaign appearances in the coming weeks.
