Where has Eric Holder been these last few days? He was all over the media when he came out and said that he was resigning as attorney general, and of course we were treated to his non-stop input on the Ferguson, Missouri, shooting – so where is he now?
The nation has been shocked once again by a brutal terrorist attack, this time in Moore, Oklahoma, and all we hear from President Obama and especially Holder is … crickets. A woman, Colleen Hufford, was beheaded by a recent convert to Islamic extremism. Alton Nolen, a worker at the Vaughn Food Processing plant, went on a terror rampage after he had been let go from his job. He attacked Hufford and brutally beheaded her while shouting radical Islamist statements. He then proceeded to attack another woman but was stopped from killing her by the company's chief operating officer who shot him. The FBI is calling it "workplace violence."
The woman who was beheaded was white. Alton Nolen is black. Eric Holder is nowhere to be found.
Remember how quickly he spoke out against the police officer who shot Michael Brown in Ferguson? Remember how he flew down to Missouri and met with the Brown family and held press conferences condemning this killing? Yes, all of this before any of the facts were known. He and President Obama demonized the police officer and denigrated law enforcement, playing the race card like they always do. They stoked the violence in Ferguson by agitating the people instead of calming them and asking for patience.
But that is what they do. Barack Obama and Eric Holder are no different than Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. They bend over backwards to look out and care for one segment of the population, which is why you are hearing nothing about this brutal beheading from any of them. Their behavior and their silence make it crystal clear that they are comfortable playing the race card, and their loyalty to one side is blatantly obvious. Their goal seems to be to create more division, and they also seem to have a very difficult time calling Islamic extremists' brutal actions terrorism.
Thank goodness Holder is leaving his post. He was never what we as Americans expected an attorney general to be. Instead of being a fair chief law enforcement officer for all the people, he was the most corrupt, biased and scandal-ridden in recent history. I can only compare him to John Mitchell in the Nixon administration as one of the worst. It became obvious within the first few months of this administration that Holder was put in the AG position to allow Obama to run rampant over the Constitution and cover up and delay anything that would damage his presidency.
From the very beginning when he dropped the New Black Panthers voter intimidation case, to Fast and Furious when he was held in contempt of Congress, his DOJ was hyper-politicized. His handling of the Fort Hood massacre as "workplace violence" instead of a terror attack was an insult to everyone's intelligence. The investigations into the spying on reporters and targeting of conservative groups by the IRS have been delayed, put off and hindered by a Justice Department that doesn't want to get to the truth.
The timing of Holder's resignation is suspicious because it shows that the Democrats are realizing that the Senate is slipping out of their hands. They need to find a like-minded replacement during the lame duck session in order to continue the stonewalling of these numerous scandals. Whoever takes Holder's place will be a shield for the president and won't let anything touch him.
Unfortunately, if someone similar to Holder is appointed, we can look forward to another two years of divisiveness, stonewalling and corruption. It is a shame that the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, whose duties are to prosecute and investigate wrongdoing, takes a partisan view of each case and makes political decisions instead of ethical ones.
