Noah, who played the lead in the biblical account of the Great Flood, is getting more press these days than most in Hollywood and half of those in Washington.
He's been the bull's-eye of one of the famed Bill Maher rants against religion ("The thing that's really disturbing about Noah isn't the silly, it's that it's immoral. It's about a psychotic mass murderer who gets away with it, and his name is God.")
He generated a controversy at the Vatican, where there was a scheduled meeting between actor Russell Crowe, of Hollywood's newest version of the story of Noah, and the pope, then there wasn't a meeting scheduled, and then it was scheduled but only if nobody knew about it?
Noah's been cited in a recent poll in the United Kingdom, he's been the subject of a debate between a biblical scholar and an atheist and more.
But what's the truth?
That would be in a new book called "Noah: The Real Story" by author Larry Stone. It was released Tuesday.
He talks about the "floating zoo," the stories from around the world that seem to align with the biblical account, the technical questions about the size of the Ark, how the animals were assembled, what they ate, where the Ark landed and has it really been found.
No biblical account has raised as many questions and generated as much controversy as Noah and the Ark, and the story in the Bible is just the beginning.

Stone also has written "The Story of the Bible" and "Women of the Bible." He's a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and University of Iowa School of Journalism, and he's studied at the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.
"For centuries American monks, Russian soldiers, German scientists, an English politician, an American astronaut, and a Baywatch star have looked for it in vain," the book explains.
"With Darren Aronofsky’s $130 million religious epic 'Noah' coming out on March 28, 2014, a lot of people are going to be searching for answers when it comes to information about the Flood, God's judgment, and the ark," said Stone. "I'm confident my book will provide the deep answers that even Russell Crowe himself (playing Noah in the movie) couldn't hope to give."
Stone suggests there are great lessons to be learned.
He said while the Bible records God's promise not to destroy mankind by flood again, there are other threats. Some have already happened, and could again.
"In 1908, a two-hundred-foot piece of a comet exploded over Siberia and flattened forests for a hundred miles. It had the effect of one thousand Hiroshima bombs," he warns.
There there are the 10 million dead stars in the Milky Way, and the possibility Earth could encounter one. Maybe the world wouldn't get swallowed right away, but "if the earth were to get within one billion miles of a black hole, its orbit around the sun would become elliptical, which means for three months our surface temperatures would go up to 150 to 180 degrees and for three months they would go to 50 degrees below zero."
And there's the global epidemic of the day.
"In 1918, a flu epidemic in the United States killed twenty million people – one in five in the country," he said.
"When Noah was warned of disaster, God told him how to survive the Great Flood," Stone writes. "What can we do now to survive the end of the world? How can we taken action to save people, save plants, and save animals?"
"Noah's secret on how to survive the end of the world is to watch, be ready, and choose now which side you are on … who you will believe and serve," Stone writes.
He quotes Christian author C.S. Lewis, who wrote, "God will invade … When that happens, it is the end of the world. When the author walks on to the stage the play is over. God is going to invade, all right, but … this time it will be God without disguise; something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature.
"It will be too late then to choose your side … It will be the time when we discover which side we really have chosen, whether we realized it before or not. Now, today, this moment, is our chance to choose the right side."
Evangelist Ray Comfort calls "Noah," "An excellent book with a timely message for a world that is running out of time."
