(SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL) A baby boy, thought to be 1 to 3 days old, was found in a parking lot in Pompano Beach on Thursday, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
The baby was wrapped in a blanket and abandoned near some bushes around 4:30 p.m. across the street from the First Baptist Church of Pompano, Sheriff's spokesman Mike Jachles said.
"A woman that picked up her child from the daycare center in the area was walking home and found the baby wrapped in a blanket against some hedges in a parking lot between two churches at Northeast Second Avenue and Second Street," he said.
