In this podcast, economist, columnist, radio host and international conference speaker Jerry Robinson of "Follow the Money Weekly" honors the retiring Congressman Ron Paul.
Paul, whose son, Rand Paul, now is a U.S. senator, served in Congress for 23 years over a 36-year period, and has run for president.
He also "paved the way for the grassroots movement for economic and personal liberty in America," Robinson reports.
During his recent address to Congress, Paul pointed out the fundamental flaws in government "that have contributed to the economic and financial crisis" that the nation finds itself in today, and called for an intellectual movement among Americans.
He asks pointed questions such as, "Why are sick people who use medical marijuana put in prison?" "Why are Americans not allowed to use gold and silver as legal tendered as mandated by the Constitution?" and "Why is the TSA permitted to abuse the rights of any American traveling by air?"
Robinson reports the congressman also talked about the drone warfare (which, by the way, never was brought up in any of the presidential debates this election season) and how it will inevitably end badly for Americans.
The podcast also includes Robinson's commentary on the looming fiscal cliff and how it is affecting investor confidence, including massive selloffs.
Tom Cloud offers the week's precious metals market update, explaining how Obamacare will make its presence felt all across the economy.
Then Jay Peroni, a certified financial planner, offers his insight into investing, including what companies would do well with a buy-and-hold practice "no matter what happens in the economy."
In his retirement analysis, John Bearss addresses the question about whether consumers should pick a single life annuity or a joint and survivor annuity for a pension plan.
Podcast is 1:01:11.
