Maurice and Ian are constant companions. Maurice is calm and laidback and never complains, whereas Ian is a nervous person and is always complaining about something or another.
One day, Ian said, “How do you manage to get along so well with everyone you meet, Maurice? I’d love to know.”
“Oh, that’s easy,” replied Maurice, “I just never disagree with anyone.”
“Maurice,” said Ian angrily, “That can’t be why. I think you’re a liar!”
“Don’t I know it,” said Maurice with a smile.
