(USA TODAY) — A plurality of Americans — 44% — can’t name President Obama’s religion, according to a Gallup Poll.
Among others, just 34% correctly identify Obama as a Christian, while 11% incorrectly insist he is a Muslim.
Most of those who say Obama is Muslim are Republicans.
“These data show that in terms of his religion, most Americans do not adhere to the belief that he is a Muslim,” Gallup says.
